Front side knee pain or Anterior knee pain is mainly because of the Patello femoral Arthritis in elderly .Most often patients complains of pain while climbing and descending stairs apart from difficulty in squatting sitting cross-legged , standing and walking . In the above picture the top one you can see the space between the bone clearly maintained and the bottom one the hardly any joint space almost irregularly interlocked . Top knee X-ray patient has a healthy pain free life .The bottom knee X-ray patient has grossly affected daily activities requiring joint replacement .
